Hi John

There are well-known methods for reconstruction from the bispectrum. See the work of Lohmann et al. The basic algo goes like this (1D). The bispectrum is

B(u,v) = F(u)F(v)F(u+v)*

a) From B(0,0)=F(0)|F(0)|^2 solve for F(0) directly.

b) |F(1)| = sqrt{ B(u,0)/F(0) } recover F(1) up to phase

c) F(u) = B(u-1,1)/(|F(1)|F(u-1)). Iteratively recover F(u) for u > 1.

Hi,
My name is John and im a student of electronic engineering in Glasgow, Scotland.
I'm interested in doing the project "reconstruction of an underwater image using bispectrum", and using Matlab to do so.
As i'm aware, the bispectrum is the fourier transform of the triple correlation of an image.

As i came across your site i was simply wondering if you had any experience with this and if you had any help or advice you could give me. Im simply wondering how I would go about doing this in Matlab?

Any help or advice you could give me would be much appreciated

Kind regards
John
